In this book society functions in a different way. Nobody is born naturally because everyone is a test tube baby and you never have any parents. From the beginning the govt. starts to brain wash you and condition your body,brain and form of thought. Before you are even born the govt. decides your social status and what job and title you are going to have when you are born. Once born you go through many classes and sesions of brain washing wich is called conditioning. As a baby you listen to a multiple amount of verses which explain what your roll in life is.
In this book the main character is some guy named Bernard Marx. This guy is part of the dominant race in this book but while he was still a fetus someone messed up and poured alcohol in his blood. So now he is not as tall as the other males in his race. This disability has lead him to realize the problems with there society and he is noticing that everyone is being brain washed. Bernard is starting to realize that nobody does what they want to do but what they've been conditioned to do. Bernard also likes a girl named Lenina and according to the book she is wanted by everyone. In the society in the book everyone has sex with everyone and sex is not considered a private act between lovers but more like just waving a hand at someone to say hey.
